“The White Tiger” by Aravind Adiga
This entertaining and oddly educational book was appreciated by the small group that attended the meeting. The protagonist is from a section of India’s population that is marginalized or ignored in books written about that country in English. This is not particularly strange, as most authors write from a place they have some familiarity or connection with. So, it is surprising that Adiga is able to pull this off so successfully. This book is at the same time realistic and improbable, which makes it a fast and fun read…but has you thinking afterwards, too.
